.CO.NZ and .NZ: Individual Registrant Privacy Option

WHOIS privacy option is now open for .NZ registrants. Choosing to use the free "Individual Registrant Privacy Option" (IRPO) will hide your telephone number and contact address information in WHOIS search results. By enabling this feature, you guarantee that you are an individual registrant and not using your domain for significant trade.

.IE Domains: Simplified Registration Process

IEDR, the registry operator of .IE domains, has simplified the registration process for .IE domains. Previously, a valid combination of X-IE-REGISTRANT-CLASS and X-IE-REGISTRANT-CATEGORY had to be provided. (See wiki: https://wiki.hexonet.net/wiki/IE)

Now only a simplified X-IE-REGISTRANT-CLASS has to be given. This can be one of Company|Business Owner|Club/Band/Local Group|School/College|State Agency|Charity|Blogger/Other.

• .DK Prices: increasing by 11.90* (net price: 10.00) DKK per Domain/Year.

.NET Price Increase - February 1, 2018

Verisign announced a price increase to the annual price of .NET domains starting February 1, 2018.

• .NET Prices: increasing by 0.98* (net price: 0.82) USD per Domain/Year.
• HEXONET recommends renewing any domains ahead of this price increase.

Premium Domains

•  .RIGHTSIDE Premium Domains -- Important Update
  • This past summer leading new TLD registry operator Donuts acquired Rightside. In Q2 2018, Rightside’s top–level domain portfolio will be merged into the Donuts registry platform. In anticipation of this platform merge, Donuts will be consolidating and simplifying premium pricing categories across the 40 Rightside TLDs effective, January 2018. Existing premium price categories in the Rightside system will be deprecated and replaced with the Donuts pricing model at that time. To help facilitate this change, Donuts is segmenting the repricing of premium domains in these TLDs into two distinct events occurring at 17:00 UTC on January 24th and 25th, respectively. HEXONET will integrate the new price mapping accordingly.
  • The scheduled price changes will affect only premium priced domains in the 40 former Rightside TLDs.
  • There is no impact on any Donuts pricing for the 198 TLDs in our system
  • Renewal pricing for registered Rightisde premium domains will not be increased. Renewal prices for premium domains registered prior to the repricing date will remain the same or be migrated to a new price that is less than its existing wholesale renewal cost

• .DESIGN, .INK and .WIKI premium domain changes coming January 30, 2018:
  
  • Removing names from the premium list (i.e., making them available at General Availability pricing tier)
  • Changing the pricing of two character domains within each TLD
  • Releasing previously reserved names into premium tiers
  • Moving names between premium tiers
  • There will be no price increases that will affect our customers. Any domains that are increasing in price have been reserved by the registry to prevent them from being registered at the lower rate and creating a potential customer relations issue related to the impending increase. However, please note that some names are decreasing in price and still available. Thus, if registered and renewed before January 30, 2018, these names would charged at the current price though any renewal after January 30th would be at the lower rate.

• .CLUB Premium Domains
  • CLUB will be adding one additional premium pricing tier, along with additonal inventory of names on February 6, 2018. There are now a total of 10 tiers. Domains will renew at standard price levels. You can view complete pricing details from within your account pricing schedule.
